Facility hire

From an hour’s schooling to multi-day clinic hire.

What facilities can I hire, and what does it cost?

  • Indoor arena: £225 per day or £25 per hour (plus £10 per additional horse)
  • Outdoor arena: £175 per day or £15 per hour (plus £5 per additional horse)
  • Sand canter track: £15 per horse per hour
  • Overnight stable hire (clinic / visitors): £25 per night + £25 set-up fee (includes 2 bags bedding + 1 bale hay). Stables must be left clean or a £25 cleaning fee applies.

How do I book facility hire?

At the moment, bookings start with a message to us (Contact page or email). Once we’ve confirmed the details, we’ll point you to anything needed in the NLE App (paperwork / documents).

Liveries book arena sessions through the NLE App. The app is not an emergency system.

Do I need to sign an agreement to hire facilities or host a clinic?

Yes. Clinics / events / multi-person facility hire require acceptance of our Clinic, Event & Facilities Hire Agreement, and compliance with yard policies shared via the NLE App.

Do external clinicians / organisers need insurance?

Yes. Organisers must hold appropriate insurance. Our agreement sets a minimum of £2 million public liability insurance (with £5 million recommended), and professional indemnity where instruction is provided.

What is your cancellation policy for facility hire and clinics?

Facility hire (hourly / day hire): 48 hours notice is required for a cancellation.

Clinics / events: 7 days notice is required.

For larger events, additional terms may apply under the Clinic, Event & Facilities Hire Agreement.

Lessons

One-to-one support, confidence building, and thoughtful training.

Who teaches lessons at NLE?

Andy teaches lessons, bringing 25+ years of experience blending Natural Horsemanship and Classical Dressage.

How much do lessons cost?

Lessons at NLE are £50 for one hour. Liveries receive a discounted rate of £40 for one hour. Travel charges apply for off-site lessons.

Can beginners book lessons?

Yes. Lessons are tailored to all levels, with a big focus on confidence, connection, and practical steps you can repeat at home.

Yard rules, safety and etiquette

A few key rules that keep horses and people safe and the yard running smoothly.

Can visitors bring dogs to the yard?

Dogs are only permitted with prior permission, must be kept on a lead, and must not enter arenas in use, stable blocks, feed rooms, or paddocks with horses.

Do I need to wear a riding hat / body protector?

A riding hat meeting a current recognised safety standard must be worn at all times when mounted, and suitable footwear should be worn. Body protectors are strongly recommended for jumping, fast work, young horses, and clinic activities.

What are the rules for vehicles, parking, and unloading?

Please drive slowly (5mph), park considerately, and follow any directions from yard management - especially during busy periods and events.

For safety, loading/unloading should keep horses clear, secure gates, and maintain safe separation.

What about children on site?

All under-18s must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times (unless specific written permission is granted). Children must not play in stable blocks, hay/straw areas, muck heaps, car parks, or arenas in use.

What’s your policy on arena lights?

Please only use lights when necessary and turn them off immediately after your session ends.

Outdoor arena lighting may be restricted (planning requirements) - we’ll advise if this affects your booking.

Do you allow external trainers / professionals?

Yes, but they must have appropriate qualifications and insurance. Please share proof in advance and let us know when they’re visiting.

The NLE App

How we share documents and manage bookings for liveries.

What is the NLE App used for?

The NLE App is used to access policies and yard documents, receive important notifications, and (for liveries) book arenas / facilities and store horse info.

Can I book as a non-livery via the app?

Not currently. Please contact us first to arrange any facility hire or clinic hosting. We may use the app afterwards for paperwork or documents.

Is the app used for emergencies?

No - the app is not an emergency system and must not be relied on in urgent situations. For emergencies, call 999 where appropriate and contact yard management by phone / in person.

CCTV, privacy and recording

A quick summary of how CCTV works on site and the rules around private cameras.

Do you have CCTV on site?

Yes - CCTV is used for safety, security, and incident investigation where necessary, with signage in operation areas.

Can I install a stable camera or record on site?

Private cameras or recording devices are not permitted without prior written approval from yard management.

If permission is granted, audio recording must be disabled and cameras must only record the approved area (e.g., inside the stable, not aisles/doorways/other stables).

Emergencies and incidents

What to do if something goes wrong on site.

What should I do in an emergency?

If there’s immediate danger, call 999 first. Then contact yard management.

Yard emergency contact: Andy - 07917 333412.

What if my horse becomes ill or there’s a welfare concern?

We’ll contact you immediately. In an emergency, if you can’t be reached, yard management may act in the horse’s best welfare interests based on available consent/emergency contacts.

How do I report an accident, incident, or near miss?

Please report it to yard management immediately. Incidents should be recorded in the yard log and via the NLE App where available.

Extras

The last bits people ask us a lot.

Do you provide feed and supplements?

Feed and supplements aren’t included in livery packages, but can be arranged separately. Speak to Andy for options.

What is your muck heap policy?

Please keep the muck heap tidy and stepped up properly. Don’t leave large round bales on the muck heap - these should be removed from the premises.

What is Hugo’s role at the yard?

Hugo takes his job as “Yard Boss” very seriously - welcoming visitors, supervising activities (from a safe distance), and generally keeping morale high.
